Casa Leggera means “house of light,” which best describes the goal for this home. It is very light and airy with lots of white oak, hand-plastered walls and ceilings, limestone floors imported from France, and powder blue accent colors throughout. It is perched on a hill with an unobstructed view of Snow Canyon, lava fields, and the Entrada golf course. The scenery and landscape was an important element of this home, so we made sure that every room would have a beautiful view. We also wanted to create a seamless transition from the indoor to the outdoor living space, so the same limestone is used along the pool and outdoor entertainment areas. In addition, the backyard features a detached casita with a living area, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and garage.
There are many fun features inside as well, including a golf simulator, theater room, game room, and a bunk room. One of our favorite elements, however, is the floating stairway. It is a unique and beautiful element that really brought the home together.
